Michael is one of the most engaging and persuasive communicators I’ve come across. We met when we were both speakers at The Economist’s global LGBT-rights summit, Pride and Prejudice, in Hong Kong. I’ve had the opportunity to attend a number of other LGBT-related events which Michael has moderated or been a speaker at since then, and his unique insights and impassioned delivery are always applauded by the audience. It is no surprise that he was one of the most well-respected and well-connected leaders of Hong Kong’s LGBT+ community.
Michael is also a Greater China expert—having lived in Taipei and Beijing, he is fluent in Mandarin—and he possesses deep domain expertise in tech, particularly in AI and digital transformation. He has a profound understanding of the intricacies of these topics, and the papers/reports he has published on them are highly recommended for anyone with an interest in these areas.
